Droid 2 Available Now - Get it for only 74.99

The Motorola Droid 2 is now available... Yes! I have been trying to find the best deal available and to my surprise there are already some major discounts to be found.

Dell is offering the Droid 2 for $149.99 with free shipping. You can get it straight from Verizon for $169.99 after using the "switch30" coupon code. Wirefly.com has the Droid 2 for $149.99 and it comes with a free Bluetooth headset with coupon code "wireflyblue22" and free shipping.

The best deal of all is through LetsTalk.com. They currently have the Droid 2 for the bargain price of only 99.99 after an instant $100 online discount. To sweeten the deal use coupon code "25rafpcver1" to get an additional $25 off! This brings the grand total for a brand new Droid 2 to $74.99 and shipping is free as well. I couldn't pass this deal up and I just finished ordering one for myself.

Keep in mind that all the offers above require a 2 year contract through Verizon and a minimum data plan.

Free Android Apps Caught Stealing Personal Info

In the Android world it is easy to find an app that can do what you're looking for. But you have to be careful with your decisions. Before installing a new app be sure to do some research. Check out the app's home page and read any reviews that other users have posted on the Android Marketplace. If you can't find much information on the app and it is from a new developer you may want to hold off. If it doesn't feel or look right in any way just don't download it.

Even if an app looks friendly and doesn't need to access any personal data to operate... it doesn't mean that it isn't doing something in the background that the user cannot see or detect. In Android... Apps can "piggyback" other apps on the the device that have full permissions... thus giving the limited app full permissions.

Interesting Google Earth Aerial Imagery

Do You See It?
There are some very cool things to be seen in Google Earth or Satellite View on Google Maps. Luckily, some people have the time and patience to find this stuff. I can't take credit for these finds but I've compiled some of my favorites and posted a link to my Interactive Google Map below.
